Asset Management API

What's new?

  • With this release we announce that we will enforce our contractual limits of Asset Management service on asset instances and asset types with one of the upcoming next releases. If you are about to exceed a respective limit, you will receive a descriptive response and no new asset instance or type will be created. If you have already exceeded your allowed asset instances or asset types, these will not be influenced but you will no longer be able to create new ones. You can increase the amount of allowed asset instances and asset types via our sales channels or directly via the Upgrade application.

Known issues

  • Currently it is possible to use a variable name equal to the aspect name which leads to errors for example in Fleet Manager.

Data Flow Engine

Known issues

  • Sporadically streams cannot be deleted. Please try again if it was unsuccessful.

  • If an entity is derived from type core.basicdevice, only one stream can be deployed.

Developer Cockpit

What's new?

  • Faster app transfer from developer to operator. The preparation time to assign an application from Developer Cockpit to Operator Cockpit got reduced. Therefore it is possible to transfer an application to production environment in a short period of time (new apps or version updates). As before, developers need to perform sufficient quality and security checks on their applications before releasing them for productive use.

Known issues

  • Application versions that contain a "#" character cannot be deployed in the Operator Cockpit. We advise customers not to use "#" in production version strings.

  • Applications cannot be deleted after being transferred to the production system.

  • The application upload size is limited to 100MB.

  • Sporadically application roles are not deleted from the user management in Settings when deleting an application.

  • Layout issues in Internet Explorer 11 in combination with high resolution displays and 125 % font scaling.

Additional Information

  • We are going to remove the ability of assigning mdsp:core:developer and mdsp:core:developeradmin roles to subtenant users.

OPC UA Pub Sub

What‘s new?

  • With this release we now support connecting assets in the field through OPC UA Pub/Sub via MQTT.
