What‘s new?

• The asset detail view has been enhanced with a new header line for more transparency.

• In Asset Managers Connectivity View, you can see the current firmware status of the MindConnect Nano and IoT2040 assets. If a newer firmware is available, you can directly trigger the update for the selected asset without further navigation in the hierarchy of your assets.

Known issues

• If a VFC workflow for an asset in a subtenant exists, it is not shown in the respective tile in the Asset Manager for a tenant admin.

• Fleet Manager navigation is not working correctly if you have to re-login as query parameters are lost. This problem will be addressed soon. Please try again by clicking the Fleet Manager navigation button.

• The Connectivity Management view currently only shows assets derived of BasicAgent, MindConnect Nano, MindConnect IoT2040, MindConnect Library or Industrial Edge or a derived type of the mentioned ones.

Known issues

• General: X-Tools is capable of uploading huge amounts of data, but you need to keep in mind the limits and purchased size of your MindSphere plan at all times.

• If the asset path in a Storage Profile contains more than one asset, it might lead to creation of duplicate assets. It can be fixed by deleting those duplicated assets, changing, saving and restarting the Storage Profile.

Known issues

• Only single asset sharing is available in the first release.

• Sharing of assets derived from basicAgent and their corresponding plugins is not yet supported.

• Tenant assets can not be moved under collaborators root asset or shared assets.

• New entity sharings are usually successfully implemented within 2 minutes. If the new sharing is not successful within this time, the internal retry mechanism starts automatically after 4 minutes to complete the sharing. This issue will be addressed soon to prevent delays in the implementation.

Known issues

• If you receive NULL values for timestamps on a Windows PC, please change your language for non-Unicode programs to English (United States). You'll find the settings in Control Panel → Region and Language → Administrative.

• Open Edge Device Kit adapter for MQTT messages. Data processed by ESA Edge Streaming Server can now be easily sent, using this adapter, to Open Edge Device Kit agent and further on to IoT Time Series Service.

• After a user's role assignments have been changed, e.g., using the Settings app, the changes do not immediately become active. The user must re-login, e.g., by closing the browser and logging in again.

• App specific roles: 

  • Additional core app roles to come soon.

  • Some apps are still accessible via their direct URL and allow using shared functionality that the user has been granted via the app-specific role of a different app.

• After modifying the authorization of a user via Identity Management Service, the change is not immediately visible. The user must then close the browser and login again.

• Data Explorer is now available which enables you to explore the files and folders available in the Integrated Data Lake.

• Set the status of a particular cross account access to enable or disable for easy management. 

Known issues

• When uploading the data using cross account access via native applications e.g. AWS CLI, the default permission is set to user of the account. The user has to provide the parameter (--acl bucket-owner-full-control) so the bucket owner (Integrated Data Lake) will get the necessary access to generate pre-signed URLs.

Known Issues

• When uploading Event Based Data Upload or Data Upload package to MindConnect Nano device and there are no enabled input signals within the Analysis Package configuration, the update ends in error state "Prepare Environment or Update/Start Configuration". Having critical error message in User Logs.

• Note: A full configured monitoring of the Analyzing Packages Vibration Characteristic Values and Vibration Frequency Spectra with all channels of one SM1281 can exceed the CPU performance of the MindConnect Nano. Also in other scenarios dependent of tasks running in parallel on the MindConnect Nano, CPU load can get to high. The recommendation is to use only two full configured Vibration Frequency Spectra Analyzing Packages in parallel.

• Deactivating a data point within a MindConnect data source will not deactivate a connection check in Edge Analytics Engine. This can lead an error if the target device is not available anymore.

• DataBus and Event Based Data Upload configuration can be created with no or deactivated data, which will lead to a critical error on project start.

• In some sporadic cases of a configuration update via Ege Analytics Manager it can happen that the Mind Connect Nano gets stuck in "project stopping" - In this case the MindConnect Nano has to be rebooted.

• In case migration of SM1281 configuration has been done with EAE Version 1.0.6 speed is shown with unit m/s - The configuration has to be recreated to fix this issue and show a correct unit in rpm.

This is a separate package that should be used only for development and debugging purposes and should not be used in the production environment.

It includes all the  features of Open Edge Device Kit and some useful additional features as follows:

• MindConnect Open Edge Device Kit user interface for easy onboarding of the device, Data Config view, Time series simulator etc.)

Known issues

• When values are passed during query creation process, query validated the data types. But, when custom data types are also defined, query validation for data types happens only based on primitive data type. 

• If the column name in selected schema (data source_dataTag) has special characters, user need to put all the inputs in double quotes. If double quotes are not provided, then query fails to execute.

• Ontology names only support alphanumeric values.

Known issues

• A deactivated user (or not assigned user at all), who tries to login to this tenant, receives a non-MindSphere error-page and gets no support.

• The subtenant use case is not yet supported by Data Flow Engine.

• Applications can use the subtenant functionality via the provided APIs. Tenant administrators should pay attention when assigning such apps to subtenant users as subtenant isolation cannot be ensured by the platform. The app might expose data to the user that is not intended to be seen.

• When moving an asset from a parent tenant to a subtenant, there might be a delay of up to 30 minutes until a subtenant user will be able to see data related to that asset.

• Please be aware, if you provide a user (even subtenant user) the role "mdsp:core:TenantAdmin", this user is then able to get access to all kinds of tenant data.

Known issues

• In "Reports" or "Overview" section in few cases a time out error message appears when loading the page for a while. As a workaround, after getting error, reload the report for same month with a second click.

• Count of limits "Visual Explorer Users" and "Visual Explorer Viewer" could display wrong value.

What‘s new?

With this update, customers can switch to a "Coming Soon" version to try upcoming Visual Analyzer features in their production environment. The activation of the pre-release version can be done via the "Coming Soon" toggle button within the Visual Analyzer toolbar. This allows to get access to some of the feature candidates for an upcoming Visual Analyzer version.

New features include:

• Mashup of historical time series data from multiple assets in one view.

• Compare functions (e.g. create time offset) which allow to analyze how assets are performing within different time ranges.

• Enhanced charts for boolean and event data type allows to easily identify correlations within performance data.

• Detected anomalies can be logged with manual events

• More flexible UI and visualization options

What‘s new?

Tableau Server version upgrade:

• New version of Tableau (2019.3) will be integrated so that you can use the newest tableau functionality in the Visual Explorer.

Flexible limitation of Data Ingest Rate:

• Limitation of ingested data was introduced.

• Pre-defined limitation can now be changed.

Known issues

• Any request within Visual Explorer is limited to an execution time of 60s.

• The "share via link" functionality works unreliable.

• Support time series data types “LONG” with values for safe integer ->(2^53-1) to (2^53-1).

• If the value is e.g. 2⁶³ the value will be reset to safe integer ->2^53-1.

Fixed issues

• If there is no shared dashboard in the Dashboard Viewer, a link to the Visual Flow Creator  link will be offered for convenience. This has been fixed.

• http_in node has been fixed.

• MindSphere times series chart node has been fixed.

Known issues

• Subtenant users cannot use the time series subscription node.
