Power Devices

You can integrate following measuring devices. For more information Power Devices, refer to the Power Devices’ manual.

PAC2200

The PAC2200 is a power monitoring device for displaying all the relevant line parameters. It collects all the basic measured variables and the extended measured variables (for example, THD). Limit values are available for line monitoring. It performs single-phase, two-phase, or three-phase measurement and can be used in two-wire, three-wire, or four-wire TN, TT, and IT systems. The PAC2200 with multi-range power supply can thus be connected directly to every low-voltage system up to a line voltage of 690 V.

Connect PAC2200 power monitoring device to powermanager through the integral Ethernet interface using Modbus TCP.

Counters and average power demand values

  • Recording of active, reactive and apparent energy by means of several energy counters.

  • Calculation and storage of the last demand period average value for active and reactive power for simple software-driven generation of load profiles.

  • Calculation of average values for active and reactive power of the last completed demand period for import and export.

  • Time stamp of the current demand period acc. to ISO8601 (local and UTC time).

  • MID-certified active energy counter for import and export (Measuring Instruments Directive 2014/32/EU).

  • With load profile measurement conforming to statutory calibration regulations and national approval according to PTB-A 50.7.

  • Integrated 15-minute load profile memory with a storage depth for all billing-relevant data over 2 years.

  • Integrated 15-minute load profile memory with a storage depth for all billing-relevant data over 2 years.

Features Specific to the Device:

  • PAC2200CLP Device also supports the Field System Alarm. The events from PAC2200CLP is sent to powermanager as field alarm. The classes of alarm is medium.

    • When the alarm is displayed in the Events tab, an option to acknowledge the alarm is provided along with the event and the source status, and once the user acknowledges the alarm, it will be removed from the event list. None of the events will be removed from the device and remain in the device memory.

PAC3100

The PAC3100 is a power monitoring device for displaying basic electrical variables and energy acquisition values (counters) in low-voltage power distribution. It performs single-phase, two-phase, and three-phase measurement and can be used in three-wire or four-wire TN, TT, and IT systems.

The minimum supported firmware version for PAC3100 is 1.0. You can use the gateway functionality of the PAC4200 to connect the device to powermanager. You can also use any Modbus gateway to establish the connection.

With the help of the basic measured variables (for example, voltage, currents, energy values), extensive evaluations can already be undertaken in the powermanager.

  • PAC4200 Device also supports the Field System Alarm. The two classes of alarms supported by powermanager are High and Low. For a StatusFixedAlarm property which is configured for a device in the Engineering mode, the field system alarms of the class High and Low are displayed and monitored in the Events tab of the application. PAC4200 device supports up to 4096 events, the type of events supported are listed below:

    • Operating Information

    • System Information

    • Operation

    • When the alarm is displayed in the Events tab, an option to acknowledge the alarm is provided along with the event and the source status.

NOTE

On creation of PAC4200 with firmware version 2.0 or higher project has to be restarted to poll maximum harmonics values.
