With this release, we have improved the user experience for the customer and have laid foundation for next set of enhancements on our Digital Twin offering journey.
Within this release, we have consolidated the Digital Twin applications into two broad areas. To focus on design and performance aspect of connected-products, we are releasing MindSphere Digital Twin application called Product Twin. It will focus on simulation based digital twin and supplement it with product definition data used in lifecycle management. Product Twin works with out-of-the-box connector to Simcenter Amesim™ 2020.1 as well as Teamcenter™.
The second application called Factory Twin focuses on the production and performance areas of a connected-shopfloor. Out-of-the-box connector to Tecnomatix Plant Simulation™ is provided with this release which works seamlessly with Factory Twin application.

Secure Data Sharing

With this release the Secure Data Sharing policies functionality is available for the Standard and Premium Package subscribers. Secure Data Sharing (SDS) enables you to create and manage fine-grained access rights. The feature will be enabled on request. Policies can be set up in the Settings configuration and then can be enabled to affect the access rights.
