Known issues

• Currently it is possible to use a variable name equal to the aspect name which leads to errors for example in Fleet Manager.

• If an entity is derived from type core.basicdevice, only one stream can be deployed.

What's new?

• Primary and secondary contacts of a promoted application are notified in case of a status change to "Remediation Required". In this case a developer needs to provide a fixed application version as a vulnerability has been found.

• User Experience enhancements:

  • Added new application type selection to differentiate between "Standard" apps and "Fleet Manager Plugins".

  • Static content is now rendered as text.

  • Added Infrastructure selection in application creation. The "Self-Hosted" option is only available for tenants that have purchased the "Outbound Traffic Upgrade".

  • Renamed "Name" to "Internal Name".

• Develop Fleet Manager Plugins:

  • Extend the Fleet Manager with your own functionality which is accessible as custom extension icons and tabs within the Fleet Manager application. Example use cases for plugins are dedicated dashboards for your devices e.g. utilization reports, production quantities, asset specific status views or to add individual workflows e.g. connecting to your CRM systems.

  • Fleet Manager Plugins behave like regular applications and follow the same workflows, except that no icon is displayed on the launchpad.

Fixed issues

• Fixed an issue that caused loosing assigned MindSphere API roles in rare occasions.

• Fixed an error that allowed the issuing of access tokens after deleting an application with issued app credentials.

Known issues

• Application versions that contain a "#" character cannot be deployed in the Operator Cockpit. We advise to not use "#" in production version strings.

• Applications cannot be deleted after being transferred to the production system.

• The application upload size is limited to 100 MB.

• Sporadically application roles are not deleted from Settings when deleting an application.

• Layout issues in Internet Explorer 11 in combination with high resolution displays and 125% font scaling.

Additional Information

• We are going to remove the ability of assigning mdsp:core:developer and mdsp:core:developeradmin roles to subtenant users.
