Using a shift calendar¶
As soon as a shift calendar is assigned to any asset with an active OEE configuration it will be used.
Asset assignment can be undone at any point in time and the usage on the asset will be gone.
Affected functions¶
OEE calculations¶
The shift calendar is used to define the time windows in which the OEE calculation shall take place.
Below, the adaptions on the OEE calculations are stated:
- Calculations are only done on the time durations of the selected shifts
- Gaps between selected shifts are ignored - there are no calculations taking place in timeranges, where no shifts are defined
- In case multiple shifts are selected a grouping of underlying KPIs is performed, which means:
In case you have selected parameters for theoretical speed, good count or bad count of items, the calculated values of the selected time frames are aggregated
Dashboard and Visualization¶
As soon as a shift calendar is activated on an asset with an active OEE configuration, there is a shift selection dropdown available next to the time picker.

In this shift selection, all shifts that are fully covered within the selected timeframe are shown and can be selected. In case multiple shift occurrences are available in the selected time-frame, it will be indicated via a counting.
As soon as shifts are selected, all underlying KPIs visible on the OEE dashboard are reflected only for the selected time-ranges.
This also applies to the detail views "Error Analysis" and micro stop calculation.
