Visualizing the intensity of data values (Heatmap)
Description
The Heatmap widget visualizes the history of the intensity of data values. You can, for example, display the energy consumption (red = high energy consumption; green = low energy consumption), machine states or production quantities in a specific period.
The following views are available in the detail view of the Heatmap:
Procedure
To define widget-specific display options, follow these steps:
-
Create a new widget or edit the existing one.
-
In step 3 "Details", you define
-
The KPI calculation period
-
Whether the data is displayed in the day view or the week view.
-
The color in which the different intensities are to be displayed.
If required, specify the values for minimum and maximum of the color scaling.
-
If you do not define fixed values, the lowest and the highest measured value is used for the color scale. In case of extreme peaks, the Heatmap may return a distorted picture.
-
Result
The Heatmap visualizes the data values according to the assigned color scale.
Machine statuses are displayed in color in the example:
-
Green: Machines running
-
Yellow: Planned and unplanned maintenance
-
Red: Standstill
-
White: No data available or hidden
