Cybersecurity notes for mobile applications
MMM /Remote mobile application was developed to guarantee the highest level of security. In addition, we recommend that the following cybersecurity notes are observed and followed:
-
Secure passwords and/or biometric authentication:
Use complex passwords, PINs or biometric authentication based on fingerprint or face recognition to protect your smartphone against unauthorized access.
-
Software updates:
By regularly updating your software, keep your operating system and the apps on your smartphone up-to-date to close known security vulnerabilities.
-
Apps from trusted sources:
Only download apps from official app stores and check the source of the download.
-
Public Wi-Fi networks:
Avoid connecting with public Wi-Fi networks. Use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to establish a secure connection.
-
App authorizations:
Check and manage the app authorizations to ensure that only you have access to certain information and applications.
-
Phishing attacks:
Be extremely careful when it comes to suspicious emails, websites and text messages
-
2-factor authentication (2FA):
Whenever possible, activate 2-factor authentication for additional security.
-
Installing apps:
Before installing an app, check the information regarding the required authorizations. Only assign the app with authorizations that are required for the specific app functionality.
-
Extended security functions of the device:
Use the extended security functions of your smartphone, e.g. device encryption, screen locking and biometric authentication based on either fingerprint or face detection.
The use of MMM /Remote mobile application requires that you strictly comply with the recommended measures.
