MindConnect Hardware Release Notes

General

  • Firmware version: V03.03.00.04

  • MindSphere provides a highly reliable system, however the MindConnect can be affected by system internal incidents.

  • The MindConnect system sends data into the MindSphere. If the data provider (e.g. OPC server) is not available a value "0" with a bad quality code will be send up. To see the quality code in the IoT model it's necessary that the quality code is always turned on at the creation of aspects.

  • We recommend to use an OPC UA server as data source with a certificate.

  • OPC UA adapter: Secure communication with certificates is still not released. This will be done as soon as possible.

MindConnect Nano

Known issues

  • The usage of more than 30 data sources (MindConnect Nano) is not recommended.

  • The connection to a SIMOCODE, SIMOTION, SINAMICS OPC UA Server cannot reestablish automatic if the used Firmware has a MiniWeb version <V5.1. It's recommended to upgrade to a new FW version of the SIMOCODE, SIMOTION, SINAMICS device.

  • If the version V03.02.00.00 b003 should be upgraded to the latest version, and the automatic firmware update does not work, please use the manual update option. This can happen if you use a proxy with fixed credentials.

  • OPC UA Server with certificate: If MindConnect Nano fails to connect to OPC server the first time (e.g. due to wrong IP address) using a certificate, then the uploaded certificate needs to be renamed otherwise the new changes made on the UI will not be accepted by the box. 

Currently not available in Europe 2:

  • The health status of datapoints and device is not available in EU2. 

MindConnect IoT2040

What's new?

  • Hysteresis value -a threshold value- is possible to be entered for int,long and double type of subscriptions.

  • NTLM proxy type can be selected from the UI for the proxy authentication. The username and domain should be entered as domain/username to the username area in UI.

Known issues

  • The usage of more than 5 datasources (MindConnect IOT2040) is not recommended.

  • The connection to a SIMOCODE, SIMOTION, SINAMICS OPC UA Server cannot reestablish automatic if the used Firmware has a MiniWeb version <V5.1. It's recommended to upgrade to a new FW version of the SIMOCODE, SIMOTION, SINAMICS device.

  • The system adapter is visible in the connection configuration UI. This entry will not work and we recommend not to use this entry.
