Visualizing states as single value

Description

The Status Widget displays semantic status information from time series data, using clear color coding to represent different system states. This makes it ideal for real-time monitoring and diagnostics.

Common use cases

• Machine States
• Error Codes
• Any state that can be mapped to a semantic label and color

Procedure

1. Select a parameter containing the state information as time series data (any data type except string).
2. Select or create a new status mapping that defines the value, color, and semantic label for each state.
3. Configure visualization options in the "Details" step:
   • Label (default): Shows the semantic label from the status mapping.
   • Raw Value: Displays the numeric value from the data source.
   • Label + Value: Shows both the semantic label and the numeric value

Result

The widget visualizes machine status according to your status mapping.
Detailed views also provide a Gantt chart and a tabular representation.
