Visualizing states (Gantt)

Description

Using the "Gantt" widget, variables that hold state information can be visualized at a glance, e g. by using different color codes per state.
The status can represent the current state or the state within a specific period.

The widget can be used either

  • for single variables
    - or -
  • for multiple variables

In case of multiple variables a grouping functionality is also available.

The Gantt widget can help you with the following use cases:

  • Check whether a specific state is in normal mode
  • How long a state was maintained
  • When and how often the state has been changed

In the detail view, the status indicators are displayed individually.

Procedure

To define widget-specific display options, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new widget or edit the existing one.
  2. In step 3 "Details" differentiation between single and multiple parameter mode takes place.

In case vizualization of only one variable is required, select a suitable status mapping from the drop-down menu.
If no status mapping exists, a new status mapping may be added using "Create new status mapping".

In case of multiple parameter selection, group these parameters and enter a name for the specific group. In this case, status mappings need to be assigned per group.

Find information on creating a status mapping in the section "Creating status mappings".

For KPI instances, specify the calculation period.

Result

The machine status is visualized according to the status mapping.

The tooltip shows, for each machine status, when this operating state occurred.
