Configuring Secondary device for Proxy Unaware or TIA Portal Download¶
To configure Secondary device Proxy Unaware or TIA Portal Download, Follow these steps
- Open Remote Services V2 application in the Launchpad and switch to Tenant Admin role.

Select the Gateway device from the hierarchy.

Click
in Assigned Devices section.

Enter the following details to create secondary device for Remote PC and provide location information and save.
Field Details Device Name PLC Name Device Type Secondary Target Asset ID Enter the Asset ID noted Company Company name Product All Billing ID Specify Email Specify mail for contact at site and contact for device IP address IP address at device Address -
Click "Assign Protocol Application" to get a list of Available Protocol Applications.

Note
If the protocol application is not listed, click "Create New Protocol Application" at the bottom of the page to display protocol applications.

Select Proxy Unaware application, and enter the details as shown below and save the configuration.

Click "Assign protocol Application" device" and select the application created. Application is displayed under Assigned Protocol Applications and save.

Switch to Remote User role and from the hierarchy open PLC in assigned devices to be accessed on the gateway device via Proxy Unaware application.
Note
Based on network adapter set PG or PC interface settings in control panel.

Open Connections in Remote V2 application and select IP "127.0.0.1" as shown and click "Connect".

Open Operator client application installed to verify Proxy Unaware application, a new window is opened and displays the status of connection as shown,

Navigate to TIA Portal and select "Download for PLC".
- Select "Network Adapters" for example, select Wired or Wireless during TIA Portal download scenario and the program is downloaded successfully.
