Asset¶
An Asset is a digital representation of objects which can be an industrial machine or an automation system with a single or multiple automation unit(s) e.g. PLC or even a factory site, your mobile phone, or a Raspberry Pi in case of Start for Free. This representation incorporates a data model describing properties and abilities of the respective object.
Asset Attribute¶
Asset Attributes are properties of Assets. An Asset Attribute represents individual data such as temperature, pressure or speed. They can be static, e.g. a serial number or dynamic like temperature where historical data is desired. An Asset comprises of at least one Asset Attribute but can contain more, if required. Asset Attributes created by you are counted independently of their purpose such as monitoring, alarming or structuring.
Asset Manager¶
A tool that comes with MindAccess or Insights Hub Capability Packages, Asset Manager facilitates bringing your real world facilities, assets, and processes into Insights Hub. Asset Manager's intelligent templates let you set up multiple processes, or entire fleets very quickly, and Industrial IoT services make it possible to integrate both cloud and on-premise data.

Dashboards¶
In Insights Hub, dashboards are used to visualize IoT and Integrated Data Lake data. Different applications are available to create dashboards, e.g. Dashboard Designer, Visual Flow Creator and Insights Hub Monitor. To create a dashboard, visualization panels are arranged in a grid layout. Each visualization panel can be configured individually (e. g. color, font). The availability of visualization panels, their configuration options depend on the application itself and on the subscribed Insights Hub Capability Package. Authorized Users might create a limited number of dashboards.

Following a login to the Account, the Insights Hub Launchpad appears. Similar to a desktop on any common operating system (OS), the Insights Hub Launchpad facilitates starting various assigned Cloud Services or Applications.
Insights Hub Monitor Rules¶
Rules refer to the rules functionality in Insights Hub Monitor to create and configure rules that monitor parameters of an Asset. You can define rules that monitor the data points of the respective Assets and define resulting actions such as sending notifications and setting an event after exceeding the thresholds.
Insights Hub Monitor simple KPIs¶
Refers to “Configure simple KPI” capability in Insights Hub Monitor and represents number of concurrent active simple KPIs that use time series data.
Insights Hub Monitor - KPIs (using aggregated time series data)¶
Refers to “Configure advanced KPI” capability in Insights Hub Monitor and represents number of concurrent active advanced KPIs that use aggregated time series data.
Insights Hub Monitor - Processed Data (Using IDL)¶
Represents the total data queried from IDL in a month for advanced KPIs and dashboards within Insights Hub Monitor.
Insights Hub Push Notifications¶
A full in the OS bar integrated system can show push notifications of all applications. That will show the status of the environment in just one view. These can be enabled or disabled based on user specific needs.
Integrated Data Lake (IDL)¶
An application that serves as a single storage place for data that can be read, crawled, indexed, and cataloged by other apps and services. The data lake can store relational data, such as data from operational databases, or from line-of-business apps, as well as non-relational data, such as data from mobile apps or IoT devices.

Time Series Data Ingest Rate¶
Time Series Data Ingest Rate represents the rate at which the sensor data is ingested into the Platform. Data ingest is based on number of Assets, number of variables per Asset, size per variable including overhead, read cycle intervals and sending frequency. This depends on the size of the requests containing time series data sent from the customer to the Platform.
Time Series Data read/compute¶
Time Series Data read/compute represents the rate at which time series raw and/or aggregate data is queried from the time series data storage. This depends on the size of the query response containing time series data to be sent from the time series data storage. This metric represents the sudden spike in data queries and should not be associated with continuous data polling.
Time Series Data Storage¶
Time Series Data Storage represents the total volume of time series data ingested and stored in the Platform for an Account.
