July 2024¶
This release note is relevant for Insights Hub Virtual Private Cloud Release in July 2024.
22nd July 2024¶
Within this release of Insights Hub Virtual Private Cloud, you will experience the Insights Hub services and applications in the same way with from our public cloud offerings.
Depending on the chosen plans and services for each deployment, the following service will be available with this release:
- Asset Health and Maintenance
- Asset Modeler
- Asset Manager
- Edge Analytics
- IoT Timeseries
- Insights Hub OEE
- MindConnect IoT2040
- MindConnect IoT2050
- MindConnect Nano
- MindConnect Software Agent
- Usage Transparency
Asset Health and Maintenance¶
What's new?
- With this release, it is possible for the user to activate an optional check to ensure the EAM/CMMS tickets are closed only if the Asset Health is OK.
Asset Modeler¶
What's new?
- With this release, you can import files to perform mapping in agents such as MindConnect IoT2050, MindConnect Nano and MindConnect Software Agent.
Asset Manager¶
What's new?
- Within this release,
- Asset Manager displays all assets that users have access to, according to the defined policies (PBAS), regardless of any hierarchical gaps that might exist.
- We implemented various quality of life features to make the asset configuration easier. It is now possible to explore types during the asset creation to find the one that suits your requirements. In addition, you can also create assets directly from the type in the Type view, by simply selecting the parent asset.
Edge Analytics¶
What's new?
- With this release, Edge Analytics is now available as Virtual Private Cloud offering.
Insights Hub OEE¶
What's new?
- With this release, we provide the following features:
- Read design speed from a variable
- Status distribution
- Production target
- Manual inputs
- UTS support
- With this release, we provide more flexibility and enable the users to read the design speed or cycle time of equipment directly from a variable. Product design speed information can then be fetched either from a product code and associated product information or directly from a variable.
- With this release, the performance page now features a new visualization around the calculated production target based on design speed or cycle time. This chart includes the calculated production goal, the total parts and the good parts.
- With this release, we provide not only a status trend but also a status distribution. Additionally, the application behavior changes when too many status changes are detected in the selected time range. Now, the application will not automatically load all the different machine states, but rather will only do it as per the user request to speed up the KPI delivery in the application. In any case, the application will always show the status distribution.
- With this release, it is possible to enter all the required values manually to calculate the OEE KPIs which includes Counters, Product Information, Order, Machine Status Distribution. Based on the asset configuration, the application pre-populates virtual production periods which guide the user inputs. In addition, the operator can also specify reject reasons for the collected rejects. The reject reasons are then further displayed in a Pareto chart on the quality page.
- With this release, we are enabling UTS to report the number of currently used OEE assets in Insights Hub OEE.
IoT Timeseries¶
What's new?
- Within this release, we are upgrading the major version of Hazelcast libraries from 3.x to 5.x. To accomplish this upgrade, we will temporarily reduce the deployment to zero replicas and then restore it to its original configuration. As a result, there will be approximately a 5-minute downtime per deployment.
MindConnect IoT2040¶
What's new?
- Within this release,
- it is now possible to import multiple mappings per datapoint.
- it is now possible to access the advanced mapping page directly from the main menu.
- OPCUA eventtype check is added to the mass import export functionality to enhance import and mapping of advanced drivers.
- MindConnect IoT2040 is available with a new Asset Manager configuration view that enhances the configuration speed and simplify your daily tasks with the MindConnect system.
- the BiDirectional communication is also possible with Modbus.
- it is now possible to browse System Adapter or IO shield adapters to simplify the engineering of datapoints.
- the MindConnect Devices can be restricted to disable the usage of Remote Services on the device.
MindConnect IoT2050¶
What's new?
- Within this release,
- it is now possible to import multiple mappings per datapoint.
- the IoT2050 UI plugin is updated to enhance usability for our customers.
- it is now possible to access the advanced mapping page directly from the main menu.
- it is now possible to browse System Adapter or IO shield adapters to simplify the engineering of datapoints.
- the MindConnect Devices can be restricted to disable the usage of Remote Services on the device.
- the BiDirectional communication is also possible with Modbus.
MindConnect Nano¶
What's new?
- Within this release,
- it is now possible to import multiple mappings per datapoint.
- OPCUA eventtype check is added to the mass import export functionality to enhance import and mapping of advanced drivers.
- it is now possible to access the advanced mapping page directly from the main menu.
- it is now possible to browse System Adapters to simplify the engineering of datapoints.
- the MindConnect Devices can be restricted to disable the usage of Remote Services on the device.
- the BiDirectional communication is also possible with Modbus.
MindConnect Software Agent¶
What's new?
- Within this release,
- OPCUA eventtype check is added to the mass import export functionality to enhance import and mapping of advanced drivers.
- it is now possible to import multiple mappings per datapoint.
- it is now possible to access the advanced mapping page directly from the main menu.
- the BiDirectional communication is also possible with Modbus.
- it is now possible to browse System Adapter adapters to simplify the engineering of datapoints.
Monitor¶
What's new?
- With this release,
- the user can easily navigate to the source of an event, if it was triggered by Rules or the Visual Flow Creator.
- the time series export is enhanced with the calculated timestamp related to the selected time zone.
- the Rule wizard supports string operators 'equal', 'not equal' and 'on change'.
- the readability for the chart and its legend and tooltip has been improved for the dark theme.
- the user can link dashboards not only to an asset, but also to an asset type. This reduces a lot of manual work for creation and maintenance. You can create only one dashboard with parameters and re-use it multiple times.
Usage Transparency¶
What's new?
- Within this release, Usage Transparency receives the access logs and displays the summarized information on the dashboard under the "Reports" tab.
