Scope

We have worked hard to deliver a great Insights Hub Private Cloud experience, but we are still tracking some known issues. If you find others, please give us your feedback by contacting our Insights Hub Support.

We recommend that you read the following release notes carefully. These notes contain important information for installation and use.

These release notes are relevant for Insights Hub Private Cloud Release in October 2023.

Private Cloud Release Notes

Within this release of Insights Hub Private Cloud, you will experience the Insights Hub services and applications in the same way with from our public cloud offerings.

Depending on the chosen plans and services for each deployment, the following service will be available with this release:

Analytics API

Applicable for:

  • Subscribers of Capability package: Standard package

What's new?

  • With this release, we will be discontinuing Analytics API services.

Business Intelligence

Applicable for:

  • Subscribers of Capability package: Standard package

What's new?

  • With this release, data sources on IDL directories will support Parquet files with different schemas. The only limitation left is that the files may not contain columns that have the same name, but different data types.
  • With this release, Tableau Server is updated to version 2023.1.
  • With this release, we have fixed synchronization error for IDL directories with more than 1000 files.

Dashboard Designer

Applicable for:

  • This is applicable only for Subscribers of Rancher service
  • Applicable for: Subscribers of Dashboard Designer Add on

What's new? - This release introduces Dashboard Designer Add On, which helps users create sophisticated and unique dashboards through customizable visualization panels with easy-to-use data data exploration capabilities.
Users with the Role dashboarddesigner.creator or dashboarddesigner.viewer can access the new Dashboard Designer Add On app from the Launchpad.
New dashboarding functions include Grafana-based dashboarding features in multiple ready-to-use visualization panels for IoT time series data. Subscriptions include Clock, Dashboard List, Gauge, Graph, Table, Pie Chart, and Text visualization panels, as well as a powerful HTML/JavaScript interface that gives users the freedom to create completely original visualizations that exceed default panel capabilities.

  • With this release, we have updated the OS bar as per the branding guidelines.

MindConnect API

What's new?

  • Within this release, the events are analyzed at machine level using analytics services by easily mapping the event to respective asset.

MindConnect Device Management

What's new?

  • Within this release, we have partially improved the mass importing and exporting.

OEE Hub

What's new?

  • With this release:
    • OEE hub now supports UI display in Chinese language.Switching occurs automatically based on the browser language.
    • We have improved, Improved counter reset detection and Improved retry behavior for the subscribers of Rancher service.
    • we are providing:
      • Product Collections
      • Show configured product unit on performance and quality page
      • Excel import of product collections
      • Search on product collections
      • Extended product collection overview

Plugin MindConnect Nano

What's new?

  • Within this release the OPC UA server deliver more detailed error messages to ensure a detailed error diagnose if a connection to a datapoint does not work.

Plugin IoT2050 UI

What's new?

  • With this release, we have enabled the possibility to connect a MindConnect IoT2050 and MindConnect Software agent to connect to BACNet servers. This can be done with the MindConnect Advanced drivers extension.
  • Within this release, MindConnect devices can read Strings out of EthernetIP connected devices.
  • Within this release it's possible to import out of a file these MindConnect adapters:
    • MT Connect
    • S7+
    • Fanuc focas
    • Sinumerik PL
    • IEC 61850

What's new?

Predict (AI for Everyone)

What's new?

  • With this release, write Forecast prediction and Anomaly detection schedule results (Inference) into Asset based IoT store for Rules engine integration.
  • With this release, make model visualization more interpretable.
  • With this release, Model training (both Forecast and Anomaly) is now done in an async manner, which means that the user does not have to wait for it to complete. User can initiate Model training and refresh to get the latest status.
  • With this release, for dataset creation: by default aggregate IoT data is displayed to reduce load time. User still have an option to view raw data.
  • we have improvised:
    • Addition of timescale/aggregation feature in Anomaly models.
    • Added more data in configuration section in models screen.
    • Impute KPI feature in Anomaly models.

Predictive Learning

What's new?

  • With this release, you will see Predictive Learning Essentials application from launchpad after assigned with needed roles as subscriber of Standard Package of Insights Hub LPC deployment. Predictive Learning Essentials allows you to import data in various formats from Insights Hub IDL and Asset-related time series data for model executions. Predictive Learning Essentials allows you to import your own python or docker models from anywhere and manage the lifecycle of your models, executions in an interactive way. You can also validate your python models through the integrated and pre-provisioned Jupyter Notebook environment on the libraries, technologies and dataset before engineering machine learning to production.

Settings

What's new?

  • Within this release, we have made some usability improvements for managing policies, alongside some other improvements and smaller bug fixes in Settings.

Work Orders

What's new?

  • With this release, Work Order API's are enhanced with filtering and paging. Also it is possible to increase the limit on the work orders per tenant.
  • With this release, Work Order Handle logic is improved to increase limit per tenant.
