Scope¶

We have worked hard to deliver a great Insights Hub Private Cloud experience, but we are still tracking some known issues. If you find others, please give us your feedback by contacting our Insights Hub Support.

We recommend that you read the following release notes carefully. These notes contain important information for installation and use.

These release notes are relevant for Insights Hub Private Cloud Release in September 2023.

Private Cloud Release Notes¶

Within this release of Insights Hub Private Cloud, you will experience the Insights Hub services and applications in the same way with from our public cloud offerings.

Depending on the chosen plans and services for each deployment, the following service will be available with this release:

Asset Management¶

Applicable for:

• Subscribers of Capability package: Standard package

Advanced Intimation:

• This release will enforce the page size limit of 200 for the below asset management GET APIs in the upcoming release. All customers, users, app builder needs to adapt basis on above changes, if not done.

IoT TS Aggregates Services¶

Applicable for:

• Subscribers of Capability package: Standard package

What's new?

Advanced Intimation:

• IoT TimeSeries Aggregate V3 API is deprecated and will be removed in upcoming releases. Migrate to upgraded version V4 API. Details are available at IoT Time Series Aggregates Service – V3.x to V4.x Migration Guide or Version 4.x - What's New?.

MindConnect API¶

What's new?

• Within this release, the events are analyzed at machine level using analytics services by easily mapping the event to respective asset.

MindSphere Design System CSS¶

What's new?

• Create concept and CSS implementation for a popover component and use it on existing components that currently have a custom implemented popover
• New button variant: Danger
• Replace hardcoded font sizes with variables. Prepare to implement Horizon's type scale* Create a Horizon color theme for internal usage
• Create video for home page (not added to the website yet) * Add figma library on the website to be downloaded * Improve badges component

Monitor¶

Applicable for:

• Subscribers of Capability package: Standard package and Premium package

What's new?

• Monitor now supports UI display in Chinese language.Switching occurs automatically based on the browser language.

OEE Hub¶

What's new?

• With this release, we are introducing the new solution OEE Hub on Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). OEE Hub is equipped with the following capabilities:
  

  • Calculate Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and further KPIs on machine and line level.
    
  • Filter the calculated values for different timeframes, products, or orders.
    
  • Configure multiple products with different design speeds to support multiproduct production systems.
    
  • Reason Tree Modeling to better understand downtimes occurring in the factory and the possibility to overwrite collected downtime reasons to improve analysis.
    
  • Customization of OEE formulas for OEE calculation.
    
  • Possibility to set up production times, breaks, maintenance etc. in calendars.
    
  • Visualization screens for general OEE overview, availability, performance, quality, different losses, and downtime reasons.
    

Plugin IoT2050 UI¶

What's new?

• With this release, we have enabled the possibility to connect a MindConnect IoT2050 and MindConnect Software agent to connect to BACNet servers. This can be done with the MindConnect Advanced drivers extension.
• Within this release, MindConnect devices can read Strings out of EthernetIP connected devices.

Plugin MindConnect Software Agent UI¶

What's new?

• With this release, we have enabled the possibility to connect a MindConnect IoT2050 and MindConnect Software agent to connect to BACNet servers. This can be done with the MindConnect Advanced drivers extension.
• Within this release MindConnect devices can read Strings out of EthernetIP connected devices.

Predictive Learning¶

What's new?

• The 'Predictive Learning Essentials' app now supports multi-tenancy feature for VPC customers.
• It is now possible for the users to bring their own models as docker container images and store them in PRL, thereby enabling the possibility to run the docker container models.

Settings¶

What's new?

• Within this release, we have made some usability improvements for managing policies, alongside some other improvements and smaller bug fixes in Settings.

Web Components¶

What's new?

• Within this release, Monitor now supports UI display in Chinese language. Switching occurs automatically based on the browser language.
