Enable connection to MindConnect Software Agent¶

To use a MindConnect Software Agent with Industrial IoT you have to enable the connection. Within enabling the connection you can assign a MindConnect Software Agent to an asset.

Procedure¶

To enable the connection to MindConnect Software Agent, follow these steps:

1. Select the asset in the "Asset" tab.

2. In the "Connectivity" area click on the MindConnect Element plugin icon, e. g. "MindConnect Software Agent".

   The "Create MindConnect Software Agent" screen appears. For more information on onboarding MindConnect Software Agent, see Onboarding and Installing MindConnect Software Agent.

3. Enter the Serial Number from your MindConnect Software Agent.

Result¶

You have enabled the connection to the MindConnect Software Agent.
