Scope

We have worked hard to deliver MindConnect Hardware for a great Insights Hub experience. These release notes are relevant for Insights Hub Release in March 2025 and contain important information for installation and use. If you find other issues, please give us your feedback by contacting our Support.

MindConnect IoT2040

What's new?

  • With this release, we provide the following features:

    • A new "Job History" page is added to the MindConnect Plugins navigation that shows the history of executed jobs by the device. This includes configuration updates, firmware updates, and other operations performed by the user. The page allows the users to retrigger certain jobs and download information about the job payload.
    • It is now possible to view the latest data sent from the device for the mapped data points in a separate column on the Datasource Configuration screen. This column is disabled by default, but you can enable it to view the real-time data.
    • 64-bit Signed/Unsigned variable type support, by using MODBUS protocol.
    • Block read support to reduce number of read requests for successive register addresses, by using MODBUS protocol.
    • New user interface design and theme.
    • OPC UA version update on the Prosys library, which improves connection stability with servers.

What's new?

  • With this release, we provide the following features:

    • A new "Job History" page is added to the MindConnect Plugins navigation that shows the history of executed jobs by the device. This includes configuration updates, firmware updates, and other operations performed by the user. The page allows the users to retrigger certain jobs and download information about the job payload.
    • You can now use your own external applications to collect data by configuring the metadata for your custom protocols via API calls. You can then use the MindConnect UI to configure the data sources for these custom protocols, similar to the built-in protocols. The custom protocols can then receive their configuration and send time-series data to Insights Hub via MQTT channels. If you want to use this feature, create a support ticket for assistance.
