Introduction to Data Transformation

Data Transformation helps you automate, optimize, and ensure the quality of your organization's data integration process. First, Data Transformation extracts raw data, then processes, cleans, and transforms it into a format suitable for analysis and, finally, stores the transformed data in a 'target' such as an API, data lake, or other data storage location.

Whether you're a seasoned data professional or just beginning, Data Transformation provides the all the tools you need for efficient and reliable ETL processes, as the app seamlessly adds, transforms, and delivers data to targets, ensuring data integration and accessibility across your organization.

Select the Data Transformation icon on the Insights Hub Launchpad to open the app.

User Roles

Your role determines the actions you can take with ETL flows. Admin users define roles, access, view, and edit permissions for their users, user groups, and teams. These permissions are set in the Settings app on the Launchpad.

This briefly describes the user roles in Data Transformation:

  • Admin: has full access to view, create, edit, copy, and schedule ETL flows, and can select the 'Latest data' option for an ETL flow
  • User: can view the ETL Flows table, run an ETL flow, and cancel a running ETL flow
  • Viewer: can view the ETL Flows table.
