Identity and Access Management for Dashboard Designer Add On

For Organizations

Your subtenants are represented as "Organizations" (Orgs) in Dashboard Designer Add On. Orgs are automatically created when a subtenant user first logs in.

Teams

Teams are groups of users.

Default User Roles

Dashboard Designer Add On users can access dashboards and assets according to the user role assigned to them. The following roles are available:

  • Admin: allows full access to all Dashboard Designer Add On functionalities. Admins can define and override dashboard editing, viewing settings for individual users and groups and allowing control of user access. Only users with the Admin role can access and switch between Orgs (subtenants).
  • Creator: allows creating and editing dashboards in Dashboard Designer Add On.
  • Viewer: allows users to view dashboards in Dashboard Designer Add On, but viewer users cannot make changes to dashboards.

The following table shows the possible actions for each user role:

  • *If a User with the Viewer role has an OI Creator role, then the viewer role will act with the same permissions as a creator.
  • **Admins will additionally be able to view all data sources on a tenant, independent of the current organization setting.
