Known Limitations

  • Dashboard Limitations

    • Dashboard Listing: The dashboards created in Dashboard Designer V10 will not be listed in the dashboard list on the landing page of "Monitor".
  • Data Source Schema Requirements

    • Date Column Requirement: Both Dashboard Designer V6 and Dashboard Designer V10 only support data source schemas that have at least one column with date information.
  • Chart Rendering Requirements

    • Time Column on X-Axis: Both Dashboard Designer V6 and V10 expect the x-axis to be a time column to render data on a chart.
    • Non-Time Data Visualization: Only the table visualization widget can be used to display data that does not have time as the x-axis.
  • Data Point Limitations

    • Maximum Data Points: The IDL data source used in any widget can display at most 4000 data points. If the selected criteria has more data points, the user must adjust the time selection criteria in view mode to get the next set of 4000 records.
    • Visualization of Large Time Segments: If the user wants to visualize a time segment that has more than 4000 records, the widget should be configured to use aggregates on higher time granularity, such as Hours, Days, or Months.
