Announcements¶

The Announcement feature allows administrators to broadcast important messages to all users within the system. These announcements can be used to inform users about system updates, maintenance schedules, new features, or any other critical information. Upgrades and Deprecations¶

Upgrade to Grafana v11 in CY2026¶

With the upcoming upgrade to Grafana v11, some panels currently used in Dashboard Designer v10 are being deprecated. Because of this, they will be removed in future Grafana upgrades, which could make your dashboards stop working.

Please migrate any dashboards using these panels to the recommended replacements before the end of June 2026. This ensures smooth operation, continued functionality, and support.

Deprecated Panels and Their Replacements¶

• Cal-HeatMap: Replaced by Business Charts (script for calendar grid) or Heatmap (no calendar grid needed).
• SVG: Replaced by HTML Graphics (HTML supports SVG embedding and inline use).
• Traffic Lights: Replaced by the new Traffic Light from the Community React widget.
• Discrete: Replaced by State Timeline — Boolean / status as a Gantt-like chart.

Selection of Traffic Light Panel¶

Enter "Traffic" in the "Visualizations" panel. Two options are displayed, as shown in the following image.

• Traffic Light (Recommended): It is the updated React-based traffic light panel for Grafana. It provides better performance and enhanced features.
• Traffic Lights (Deprecated): It is the legacy traffic lights widget. Do not use this option for new dashboards. Update existing dashboards to use Traffic Light where possible.
