Sending commands to your MQTT agent¶

MindConnect MQTT allows agent to subscribe to a pre-defined topic to receive data from applications and services. For more detailed information, refer to MindConnect MQTT Commanding.

Prerequisites¶

• You have onboarded a MQTT agent.

Procedure¶

To navigate to the list of commands and send new ones, follow these steps:

1. Click on your MQTT agent asset in the "Assets" tab.
2. Click on the plugin icon "MindConnect MQTT" to open the MindConnect MQTT plugin.
3. Click on the view switcher and select "Commands" in the menu.
4. Click "Send New Command" and enter the name and JSON message for the command.
5. Click "Save" to send the command to your agent.

Result¶

The new command containing the JSON message is sent to your agent.
